Cat acne
Similar to human beings cats can also get acne popularly known as Cat Acne.
It is because when the sebaceous glands unnecessarily secrete more oils on head and tails. Because of this reason the pores nearer to the glands set clotted with some black material of sebaceous which results in the formation of comedones.
In some cases, they can get severe infection and swellings and irritation. It is mostly seen on the chin of animals leaving black spots called as acne marks which cannot be washed away and this disease can even become a life time problem in the lips along with the chin but it doesn’t affect the puberty.
When your cat reaches a year old and if at that time the cat acne is found around the china and lips with no time the color pf these affected parts become reddish causing itching and even you can found a severe hair loss and pigmentation on your pet’s body.
The veterinarian can even go for acne scarring treatment for your pet and complete scrapping of the affected skin using tropical antibodies and fungal cultures can also be done. Like dandruff, cat acne or puppy acne doesn’t show up any highlighting clinical symptoms in turn they are very mild. So, watch your pet’s behavior if you find it itching its chin until it turn reddish. Follow the symptoms if there is any unusual behavior from your cat and save it from cat acne!
