After listening to the acrimonious press relative to senior reverse mortgage and the varacity is that most of them chatter about the product very tentatively, I can not help but speculate about if this is because of the age of the homeowners involved. Even though the much more suspect refinance firms have been swept beneath the carpet and dismissed as a less worthy cause of concern, reverse mortgage information are now fully regulated by the FSA but still has stigma surrounding it.

The distinguishing attributes of the two? One is targeted at everyone and the other is aimed at over 55’s. It is this demographic difference that, I reason, has intensified the hoo-ha. Selling to the over 55’s has the similar connotations of assailability that appears with with selling fatty products to kids.

What agitates my self is that in most other business or circumstance, older householders are thought of the most wise; the clever ones that most look to for advice and guidance from. So why is it the case, when it comes to anything online or any types of business offering, do we regard the over 55’s with children’s gloves! Stepping in like a valiant knight to save them from their own mindset. Do we suppose for one second that they’re falling about and blundering in the dark. No, I didn’t think so.
